My favorite playing experiences was always with my older brother swimming, jumping on the trampoline, building forts, creating treasure maps, riding bikes, smashing pomegranates on the way to school and having stained fingers, faces, and clothes all day, jumping up and down on the bed while watching Rocky I and pretending to be in the ring...so I would have to say my brother...although he is doesn't count as a toy. So, toy wise...my dad gave me a set of 500 colored pens. I played with those every Sat. and Sun. morning with them all spread out on the floor, mixing and matching, drawing, coloring...my legs inevitably covered with marks from coloring with wild abandon and being lost in all the color exploding on the paper!

Chalk pastel drawing is new for me...and I love it!!!! I have all these new still life's from a class I am taking....I can't wait to start digging deeper into my unconscious and doing more abstract things with the chalk....blending is yummy!

This is my midterm project of a still life....oohhh...ahhhhh...pertty.

I went to this psychic once who told me that I have three angels watching over me at all times. Every one has angels watching them, I just happen to have 3. The next day, I received this hand carved box in the mail from my brother Tony, which happened to have 3 angels carved on top! At home, I had begun painting this picture PRIOR to both other messages! Um, yeah, the universe is CRAZY!!! It has been 6 or 7 years since I have worked on this painting. You will notice that the face is missing on one of my angels. This picture hangs over my desk at home. I look at it every day and just wait for the inspiration to paint the last face, but for some reason there is something about it being "unfinished" that I like. Maybe the angel doesn't need a face? Only time will tell.

I made this like 5 years ago! SInce I am putting together an art portfolio, I am taking pictures of things I am considering putting in the collection. If you can't tell in the picture, there is a huge OM symbol in the center.

Here is my favorite scarf that I made last year. Tiger so kindly volunteered to model it for me.

I am excited that it is finally Fall! It is difficult to knit when it is 100 degrees outside. Your hands get sweatin' and the yarn sticks to your hands...eewwweeee! So, this scarf is my first purl knit scarf...it isn't done because I need more yaran and I can't find anymore of the same! I might have to undo the whole thing and start over to make it less thick...I do have one more ball of this stuff, so if I continued as is, it would be too short for my taste. Who knows, I might just do it anyways...

This is the other study that goes with my Butterfly Buddha.

I painted this last year. It is one of my favorites. It is a study that I am using to create a much larger painting combined with the flower painting I am going to post too. It will be a LONG while until that combined painting is done, so try and use your imagination to combine the two together!!! I am placing the Butterfly Buddha on top of a bed of these crazy flowers!

Here's a picture of a finished washcloth. I usually make a set of three and give them as presents to my girlfriends with some really beautiful soaps, a scented candle in a basket. This particular cloth is for a new baby...I still need to do the other two.
